Total number of ribbons = 2 + 3 + 4 = 9
Let S be the sample space.
n(S) = Total number of ways of drawing 2 ribbons out of 9 = 9C2

Let E = Event of drawing 2 orange ribbons.
n(E) = Number of ways of drawing 2 orange ribbons= 3C2

P(E)=n(E)/n(S)=3C2/9C2 =(3*2/2) / (9*8/2) =3/36 =1/12
