1. fill the 3 lts jar
2. pour this into the 5 ltrs jar
3.repeat the process and now 5 lts jar will be full and 3 lts jar will have 1 ltr left in it... 3+3-5=1
4. empty the 5 ltr jar...although it is not good to waste water
5. pour the 1 ltr water left in the 3 ltr jar into the 5 ltr jar
6. fill the 3 ltr jar again and pour it into the 4 ltr jar so you will have 1+3=4 ltr water exactly.
If you have seen Die Hard 2...a similar challenge was given to Bruce Willis by the bad guy.

1.Fill 5L jar
2.transfer it to 3L jar, now you're left with 2 liters in 5L jar.
3.empty 3L jar.
4. transfer the 2 liters balance in 5L jar to 3L jar.
5. so now we have an empty 5L jar and 2liters filled 3L jar.
6. fill 5L jar.
7.3L jar has 2 liters already so it can only accomodate 1liter more, so transfer 5L jar water to 3L, untill it gets full.
8.so now we 4 liters(5-1) in 5L jar.

Again fill 3 ltrs jar and pour it into 5 ltr jar
now 5 ltrs jar filled and 3 ltrs jar contain 1 ltr of water..
now empty the 5 ltr jar...
pour 1 ltr of water in 3 ltr jar water into 5 ltr jar.
again fill the 3 ltr jar.. and pour it into 5 ltr jar..
now(1+3)= 4 ltrs of water in 5 ltr jar

Pour the water from 5 ltr. jar to 3 ltr. jar, extra 2 ltr. water can be measured.
Repeat this process one more time, to get 2+2= 4 ltr. of water

Fill the 5 litre jar and pour it into the vessel repeat the step again now the vessel will have (5+5) (10 litres),,
Then remove 3 litres form the vessel using 3 litre jar . 10-3 (7 litres).. Next again remove 3 litres 7-3 (4 litres)...............................finished

fill 5 ltrs can and shift it into 3 ltrs can and empty the 3 ltrs can.....
2 ltrs are remaining and shift it into 3 ltrs can note that there is a gap for 1 ltr in 3 ltrs can.....
fil 5 ltrs can again and fill the remaining 1 ltr by 5ltr can....
finally 4 lltrs are available in 5 ltr can

first fill the jar of 3 litres and pour it to 5 litre jar.now the 5 litre jar has 3 litre quantity of water.repeat the same till the 5 ltr jar is full.now the 3 litre jar contains 1 litre.pour it in another jar,say J1.fill the 3 litre jar with the water in 5ltr jar.now pour the 3 litre water in J1 containing 1 litre water.now the jar J1 is filled with 4 litres.

1.First fill the 5l jar fully and then pour it in 3l jar(3l jar=2l)and(5l jar=3l).
2.Then empty the 5l jar.
3.Now again fill 5l jar fully and pour in 3l jar which already contains 2l .now(3l jar=2+1=3l) and (5l jar=5-1=4l).

now u have total of abt 7 ltrs

Let us take the jar to be filled with 4 ltrs of water as "A jar"
Step 1: Take water in 3 ltr jar and pour in the A jar... Now, A jar has 3 ltrs of water.
Step 2: Again take water in 3 ltr jar and pour in 5 ltr jar.
Step 3: Repeat the Step 2.
Step 4: Now, you have remaining 1 ltr of water in 3 ltr jar. Pour the remaining water in the A jar.
As a result, A jar has 4 ltr water, as we expected...

8/2=4
therefore mix the waters of both the jar into a single one and pour half of the content into another which makes
4 litres each simple.

1st step:take three liters jar and take 3 liters of water in it.
2nd step:pour the 3 liters of water into 5 liters jar and now the 5 liters jar contains 3 liters of water
3rd step:take another 3 liters of water into the 3 liters jar.
4th step:pour the water from 3 liters jar into 5 liters jar until the 5 liters jar get filled.And now the three liters jar contains 1 liter of water.
5th step:remove the water from the 5 liters jar and pour the 1 liter of water from 3 liter jar into 5 liter jar.now the 5 liter jar contains 1 liter of water.
6th step:take another 3 liters of water into the 3 liters jar and pour it into the 5 liter jar and the 5 liter jar contains 4 liters of water.

At first take 5 ltrs and 3ltrs jar empty.
1)Fill the 3ltrs jar with water and then pour into 5ltrs jar.
2)Then again fill the 3ltrs jar with water and pour into 5ltrs jar, now you will get remaining 1ltr water in 3ltrs jar.
3)Now empty the 5ltrs jar, now fill the 1ltr from 3ltrs jar to 5ltrs jar.
4)Fill again 3ltr jar and pour them in 5ltr jar.
5)Finally you will get 4ltrs in 5ltrs jar.

Initially fill the 3 litre jar and pour it completely in the 5 litre jar. Hence the 5 ltrs jar contains 3 ltrs of water and the other jar is empty. Now fill the 3 ltr jar completely again and pour it into the 5 ltr jar upto the brim and hence the 3 ltr jar now contains only 1 ltr as the 2 ltrs of water is poured into the 5 ltr jar. Drain out the 5 ltr jar completely and transfer the 1 ltr from the 3 ltr jar into the 5 ltr jar. Fill the 3 ltr jar again and pour it completely into 5 ltr jar. Thus the 5 ltr jar now contains 4 ltrs of water.

The solution is very simple .
fill both the jars full of water. Start tilting the jars till the water level reaches both of the diagonal ends on top as well as bottom i.e. half of the quantity which means 5/2=2.5 and 3/2=1.5 ... add both of them 2.5+111.5=4.

empty B,now A=2,B=0

now, A=0,B=2

pour water from A to B until B is full

first fill 5 liter can and fill 3 liter can using it. Pour the remaining 2 liter water away. Now pour the three liter can into five liter can. Fill three liter can again and fill the five liter can. One liter will be left in three liter can. Now empty the five liter can and pour the one liter from three liter can into five liter can. Fill thee liter can again and pour it in five liter can. You will get four liter in five liter can.
