(1/m +1/b)= 1/24
6 days before 26 days =20 days
so work done in 20 days = 20*(1/24) =5/6
so work left =1/6
1/6 of the work is done by the man in 6 days so time required by the man to complete the work alone
= 1/6 work in 6 days
1 work = 6*6 =36 days
so replacing m by 36
(1/36+1/b) = 1/24
so 1/b =1/72 therefore b = 72 days

Work formula= M1*D1 = M2*D2
(man+boy)*24=(man+boy)20 + man*6
24man+24boy=20man+20boy+6man
4boy=2man
Ratio =boy/man=2/4 or 1/2
So,
Total work=(1+2)*24=72
Boy will take=72/1=72 days
