T=distance/speed
Distance=L1+L2=200+L2
Speed=S1 +S2 =120+80=200
Time=9sec=9*(5/18)=5/2=2.5
Substitute in above formula we get L2=300m

Opp direction means relative speed=120+80=200kmph (200×5/18)mps
Time taken to cross each other time=9sec
First train length lf=200m
Second train length ls=?
Time=distance/speed
9=(200+ls)/(200×5/18)

Solving above you get ls=300m

Relative speed=100/3+200/9=500/9(after converting to m/s)
let length of other train=x
than t=d/s
so t=9s ,d=(200+x).s=500/9 solving it for x you will get 300m

or, 200+L =500

Relative speed = (120 + 80) km/hr

= 200 x 5/18 m/sec
= 500/9 m/sec.
Let the length of the other train be x metres
Then, (x + 200)/9 = 500/9
x + 200 = 500
x = 300.

first train is travel at speed 120km/h.
second at 80km/h
then the total speed is 120+80 = 200km/h
time is given in sec. then we change it in hours.
so we multiply time by18/5 (9*18/5 = 2.5h)
we know the formula (cross time = total length of train / total speed of train)
Let we take the length of second train is x.
2.5 = (200+x)/(120+80)
2.5(120+80)=200+x
2.5*200=20+x
500=200+x
500-200=x
300 = x
so the length of the train is 300 meters

Speed of the 2 nd train =80kmph
Total time T=9sec
first you will convert the speed kmph to m/sec

First find the Distance of the objects means Relative of the 1st two trains into speed

D=RS*T
The two train are travel in opposite direction so that the relative speed is equal to the sum of Two speeds are
D=(120+80)*9
=200*9*(5/18)
=500m
therefore
Total Distance =LT1 - LT2
500=200-LT2
Length of the train LT2=300

Let the formula for involving two trains is S=(L1+L2)/T. When two trains travel in the opposite direction add the speed and convert it into m/s by multiplying 5/18. so S=(120+80)*5/18 =500/9. Time is clearly given 9 sec. Length of one train L1=200m. so substitute in the formula 500/9=(200+L2)/9 which gives L2 to 300 m.
