Let cost of each pencil, eraser and notebook be P,E,N respectively...

Then from the question E+P+N=1.-----(1)

Also, N=2P ----(2)
3E=N ----(3)
3P=E ----(4)

Only from equations (1),(3)&(2)

We get (3P/4)+P+2P=1.

On solving the above equation, we get P=$0.266

according to that.. if u take notebook as 55 cents.. pencil as 26 cents.. and eraser as 19 cents.. all the above condition satisfies..

Its given that
E+P+NB=1-----(I)
NB>2P
P>4E
E>NB
WE HAVE TO FIND THE VALU OF PRNCIL THAT IS (P) IN MY CASE
By assuming the value of NB=2P
AND Substituting it to eraser (E)
ie.. E=2P
AND SUBSTITUTING THE VALUE IN (I)
2P+P+2P=1
5P=1
P=1/5
THEREFORE P=0.2

Above Conditions

N + P + E = 1 --------(1)

N > 2P --------------- (2)

3P > 4E --------------- (3)

3E > N ----------------(4)

4 Substituting 1 (N = 3E)

3E + P + E = 1

4E + P =1 ----------------(5)

3 Substituting 5 (3P = 4E)

3P + P = 1
4P = 1
P = 0.25$
