suppose the price of an article is 100 rs

Cost Price after giving discount = 90 rs
Market Price after adding profit = 108 rs

(100 - discount%) : (100 + profit%)

90 : 108

If there is no discount given,

then

M.P. - S.P

So

Profit% == 108-90 / 90 * 100

= 20%
