Basic pay = Rs 200 for 40 hrs or Rs 5 per hour
Overtime rate = 5*1.25= Rs 6.25 per hour.
He recd. Rs 100 extra for additional 100/6.25 = 16 hrs.
so he worked for total 40+16= 56 hrs in the week.

first 40 hours @ Rs 5 then, overtime hours by RS 25% of Rs 5=Rs 6.25
so total overtime hours = 100/6.25=16
total hours worked is 20+16=36 Hours

a total of 56 hours he worked..
RS 200. for normal work in a week for 40 hours.
Rs 100. for his over time work..
in normal hours he is getting Rs 5. per hour..i.e,200/40=5.
in over time he wil get Rs 6.25 per hour ..i.e, 5*0.25=6.25.
therefore he worked 16 hours over time to get Rs 100. extra..i.e, 16*6.25=100
so..40+16=56.

His basic pay = Rs.200 and he work 40hrs for a week
so his basic rate is 200/40 = 5rupees/hour
His overtime work rate = (5 + (5*25%)) = 6.25rupee/hour.
Now Total paid amount is 300 in which 200 rupees is for normal work and 100 rupees for overtime duties.
So total hours of overtimes in a certain week is 100/6.25=16hrs
So total working hours for that week is 40+16=56hrs

the extra pay he got is 100rs.
let it is for x hrs...
the amount of pay he get per 1hr of overtime is 40hr ------- 200
1hr----------5
overtime 1hr=5(1+ 25/100)=25/4
so,25/4 * x = 100
x=16..
total working hrs for that week are 40+16=56hrs...

basic pay for 40 hrs=Rs.200
then for 1 hr basic pay=Rs.5 (200/40=5)
then 60*5=300,
which means he worked for a total of 60 hrs.

for 1 hr it paid Rs 5.
now, total over time amount for 1 hr = (5 + 25% of 5) = Rs 6.25
hence Rs 200 paid as normal rate.
rest of the Rs 100 is the overtime paid at the rate of 6.25 per hr
so, 100 = n(6.25)
n=16
total hours 40+16 =56

40 hrs = 200 means Rs 5/hr
16hrs=Rs80+20(25% of 80)
hence 16 hrs

basic pay for 40 hours =200
1 hour pay=200/40 =5 rupees
1 hour basic rate is = 5*25/100 =5/4 => 1.25
above from basic rate so we need to add= 1.25+5 =>6.25
total rupee=300
basic rupee work =200
left rupee=300-200 =>100
for 100 rupee he need to work= 100/6.25 => 16

work on basic pay= 40 hours

so overtime hours =40+16 =>56 hours
