initially batsman average 15
when 23 is added it becomes 16
so batsman has played 23-16=7 innings previously
if he should boost his average to 18 then he must score
18+(18-15)*7=18+21=39
so he must score 39 runs in 8th innings

t=total run
m=total match
t/m=15,(t+23)/(m+1)=16, solving this m=7 and t=105
now, (105+x)/8=18,therefore x=39

initial avg=15
his average become 16 after scoring 23(15+8).
8 run extra increase 1 run avg.
to increase it 3 run he will have to score(15+8*3)=39

34 Runs Required to make average 18.
Let no of innigs played is X so
16(X+1)=15X+23
16X-15X=23-16
X=7
Now Total Runs when average is 16= 16(X+1)=128
Total Runs when average is 18=18(x+1+1)=162
Required Runs =162-128=34

batsman initial avg=15 and no of matches be x than total run r=15x.
so r/x=15.

now in last inning (r+23)/(x+1)=16
it gives x=7 and r=105
Now to make his average 18 he needs to score.....
(105+y)/8=18(let y be the run needs to be scored)
It gives y=39
Ans :39

if 15 to 16 average needs 23run(difrnce from avege 23-16=7) then 16 to 18=2*23=46,46-7=39

(x1+x2+x3+----------------xn)/n=15 ---------------->1

(x1+x2+x3+-----------------xn+23=16 _--------------->2

eque 2 - 1

23=16(x+1)-15x

23=16+x x=7

(x1+x2+x3+-----------------xn+x(n+1)/8 = 18

(x1+x2+x3+-----------------xn)=105

105 +x(n+1)=148

ans : 43
