no need to solve the question..see through option.only 4.5 is less than 5.it is given breath is decreased.so 4.5 is ans

ans:4.5
volume=l*b*h=6*5*2=60cm^3
now volume is reduced by 19%.therefore 81/100 *60=48.6
now,thickness remains same and let length and breadth be reduced by x%
so,new volume: 2*x/100 *6*x/100 *5=48.6
=>x=90 thus length and width is reduced by 90%
new width =90% of 5 =4.5

all options are grater than 5 so acording to the question the new size will be less than previous size so obviously 4.5

Answer should be 4.5cm
because area got to be reduced by 19% too so 81% remaining can be distributed in length and width so new width = 0.9*original

%change in (l+w+t)= %change in volume
as t is constant thrfr l+w=19
l=w (say)
w=9.5
new w= 5(0.91)
w=4.55

ans is 4.5
first volume 6*5*2=60
19%volume reduce ,so volume 48.6
take volume 2xy
2xy=48.6 so xy=24.3
when length*wide=30 then width 5
x*y=24.3 then wide=4.5
