taking statement y d=sxt-(1) distance remains constant, so d=(s+1)x(t-40). d=st-40s+t-40
It can be written as d=d-40s+t-40. 40s=t-40.atleast one parameter s or t should be known for determining the other.so,from statement x, s=2. therefore t=120 and d=2x120=240m. thus both the statements are needed. b)
