Rs 14400 ,
(*If the sum total accrued is 17280 & 20736 after 4 & 5 yrs. and not the interest)
If Amount=x, Interest rate=r
Sum total accrued after 4 years= x[1+(r/100)]^4=17280 ---(i)
Sum total accrued after 5 years= x[1+(r/100)]^5=20736 ---(ii)
From (i) & (ii), 17280[1+(r/100)]=20736, solving r=20
From (i) ,x=17280*625/1296
So Sum total accrued after 3 years= [17280*625/1296][1+(20/100)]^3=14400
