Ans= 3 sisters & 2 brothers
If number of sisters=x, brothers=y
x+1=2y, x-2y=-1 ---(i) &
x=y+1, x-y = 1 ---(ii)
Solving (i)&(ii), x=3,y=2

Let the no. of brothers=x and no. of sisters=y;
Now according to first condition, y+1=2x
and the second condition will be, x+1=y
now solve the two equation you will get, x=2 and y=3
So no. of brothers=2 and no. of sisters=3.

let no.of sis =x, no of bro =y.
x+1=2y and y+1=x.solving these two eqn. x=3,y=2.

let the no of sisters and brothers are a and b respectively.
now,
1) a+1=2*b
2) b+1=a
solving two equations we get a=3, b=2.

let us consider sisters=3,brothers=2 case..
if 1 sister is added it becomes 4...so now ratio is 2:4 which is 4:2
so 2:1(sisters are twice of brothers)
and if 1 brother is added it becomes 3..so now ratio is 3:3 which is 1:1
conditions are satisfied..so sisters=3,brothers=2

let no. of sisters=x nd brothers=y.
now according to question, we get equations as-
x+1=2y or x-2y=-1 ---(i)
x= y+1 or x-y=1 ---(ii)
solving we get x(sisters)=3 nd y(brothers)=2

LET X=NO, OF SIS;Y=NO.BRO.FROM FIRST PARA,X+1=2Y AND FROM SECOND Y+1=X, BY SOLVING FIND X,Y. SO X=3,Y=2.

x+1=2y....(1)
y+1=x.....(2)

These two are the simultaneous equations formed.
Equating, the values of x we get,
2y-1=y+1...(3)

we get, y=2

Now, putting the value of y in Eqn(1):-
we get X=3.

2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Let no. of brother=x & no. of sister =y
from question,
y+1=2x ---(i)
x+1=y---(ii)
solving these two equation
we get, x=2
y=3
So total no. of brothers=2
total no. of sisters=3
