lets say x is the amount of mixture in A and y is the amount of mixture in the vessel B.. then we get the following equation x*(4/9)+y*(9/13)=1 and x*(5/9)+y*(4/13)=1 where x*(4/4+5) is the amount of kerosene in A
y*(9/4+9) is the amount of kerosene in A
so solving both equation we get x=405 and y=116

let cp of petrol be Rs.1 per litre
petrol in 1 litre mixture of A=4/9 ; cp of 1 litre mix. A=4/9
petrol in 1 litre mixture of B=9/13; cp of 1 litre mix. B=9/13
petrol in 1 litre mixture of C=1/2 ; mean price=1/2
by the alligation rule
cp of 1 litre mix A cp of 1 litre mix in B
4/9 9/13

5/26 -1/18

5/26 = 1/18 => 45:13

so ans is 45:13

405:116,take x lit from a and y lit from b, x*4/9+y*9/13=1 and 5*x/9+4*y/13=1
solv for x and y take ratio of x:y

B- 9:4
let result be X:Y
4X+9Y=5X+4Y
Solving This we get
X:Y=5:1
