= 5/12 ans....

15/36...two dices are roled with each having 6 chances and so total 36 chances..
favourable events(total >7=8,9,10,11,12)..8=(4,4),(2,6)(6,2)(5,3)(3,5)
9=(4,5)(5,4)(6,3)(3,6)
10=(5,5)(6,4)(4,6)
11=(5,6)(6,5)
12=(6,6)
probability=15fav events/total 36 events =15/36=5/12

getting sum more than 7 is=(3,5)(5,3)(5,4)(4,5)(5,6)(6,5)(6,6)(5,5)(4,4)(2,6)(6,2)(6,3)(3,6)(6,4)(4,6)=15
so solution is=15/36=5/12

Two dices are rolled -- So the total outcomes are 36(i.e 6*6)
Now all the possible outcomes of getting the total more than 7 are,
(2,6),(3,5),(3,6),(4,4),(4,5),(4,6),(5,3),(5,4),(5,5),(5,6),(6,2),(6,3),(6,4),(6,5),(6,6)
Therefore here they are 15 possibilties of getting the total more than 7
Probability = Favourable events/Total outcomes = 15/36 = 5/12 --is the answer
