Info 2: 1/5th of total (10 students)- 85%.
Comparing gives - Only those 10B are 85%.
Remaining 40 are girls.

10 boys got 85%
so remaining student:50-10=40
1/5 total remaining student got 85%=40*1/5=8
i.e.remains:40-8=32 girls
ans:32

answer is surely D. Neither I Nor II.
we can not solve using either of the statements.
In the remaining 40 students are not exactly girls. we can't sure about to say, they may also some boys less than 85%.

Given 10 boys got 85% which is equal to 1/5 th of total strength so the remaining are 50-10 = 40 gals

remaining 40 student may be boys or girls

guys reads que correctly....the que ask "how many grls got more than 85% marks in mathematics".....
so ANS: B
bcz...
from statement A -- shows that there are only 10 boys who got more than 85%...
and in statement B -- say that 1/5 of 50 =10 student ..and in statement A it already says that there r 10 boys who got more than 85%....which means no girl got more than 85%.......so ans B satisfied.

32 girls total 50 students and 10 boys got 85% so remaining 40 students 40/5 =8 got 85% so 40-8 =32 girls

in the 40 boys may alo present
so both statements are insufficient
