Ans will be 500 m
Explanation:
Ravi beats ramesh by 5 sec or 100 mtr....means ramesh cover 100mtr in 5 sec....by this we can get ramesh speed in 20m/sec
20.............in 1 sec
500........in 500/20=25 sec(Ramesh's time)

so ravi take 20 sec to cover 500 mtr......by this we can get that ravis speed is 25m/sec

now assume x be the distance from staring line where we need to put the winning post.
According to question ravi’s speed will be 25*2=50m/sec & ramesh’s speed will be 20*1.5=30 m/sec

now assume x be the distance from staring line where we need to put the winning post.

they will take same time to reach the wining post.
As ravi gives Ramesh a 200 m ahead start so he has to accede x meter and Ramesh has to accede (x-200) meter
Hence we may write,
x/50=(x-200)/30
x=500 meter

from 1st ravi speed=25m/sec
ramesh speed=20m/sec
after changes ravi speed=50m/sec
after changes ramesh speed=30m/sec
now for ramesh=500-200=300
and for ravi=500
so they will complete in 10 second as same remain distance

Rvi beats ramesh by 5 sec or 100 mtr....means ramesh cover 100mtr in 5 sec....by this we can get ramesh speed in 1200mtr/min.....
1200.............in 60 sec
1..........in 60/1200 sec
500........in 60*500/1200=25 sec(Ramesh's time)

so ravi take 20 sec to cover 500 mtr......by this we can get that ravis speed is 1500mtr/min

now assume x be the distance from staring line where we need to put the winning post.
X/1200=(X+200)/1500 **ravi gives ramesh a 200 mtr head start**
by solving this we get X=800
so ans is 800+200=1000 ans

Ravi beats Ramesh by 5 seconds or 100 m. It means,
Ramesh goes 100 mtr in 5 sec. nd 500 mtr in 25sec.

Implies that, Ravi goes 500m in 20 sec.

Let, the distance b/w the starting point nd finishing point is 'x'm.

Now, the equation is-

x/25=(x+200)/20
=> x= 1000m.
