miles travelled in first day = 7 miles

According to the question
miles travelled in 2nd day = 7+4
miles travelled by 3rd, 4th....= 7 + 2*4,7 + 3*4......

A.P. = 7,7+4,7+2*4,......7 + ( n-1)4
IT's given
7 + (n-1)4 = 51
(n-1)4 = 44
n -1 = 11
n = 12

Total number of days = 12
total miles travelled Shiva
= n/2(a + l) [ a = 1st term , l = last term]
= 12/2(7 + 51)
= 6(58)
= 348

so total miles 348 travelled in 12 days

miles travelled last day is 51miles..
in first day travelled is 7miles
so each day he increased by 4miles..
hence 51-7 = remaining days =44
days travelled = (44/4) + 1(the first day he travelled) =12 days

total days is 12 (n )
toal distance = n/2(a + l) a= first day travelled distance , l= last day travelled distance_
= 12/2 (7+51)
= 348

So ans is 348 miles in 12 days

according to ques
7+(n-1)4=51
n=12
now sum=12/2(7+51)
=348
so 12 daysin 348
