Let
y---> distance travelled by 1st train
x---> distance travelled by 2nd train

x/21 = y/16---(1)

x = y+60----(2)

Substitute (2) in (1)

(y+60)/21 = y/16
16y + 960 = 21y
y = 192
x = 252

Distance between 2 stations = x+y
=252+192
=444 km

21 x+60 t

equating to time 16*(x+60) = 21x
====> 5x = 60*16
====> x = 192
total distance = x+(x+60)
= 444

't' is the time taken to meet one point
distance travelled by first train is = 16 t,
distance travelled by second train is = 21 t,
distance between them is 60,
so the 21t-16t=60 by solving this we get the answer t=12 hrs
distance between them is = 21t+16t
= 21*12 + 16*12
= 444

let, t be the time when the trains meet each other.
so, 21t - 16t = 60
=> 5t = 60
=> t = 12
so, the distance between the two stations = 21t + 16t
= 37t
= 37*12
= 444 Km . (ans)
