Let previous breadth be "b"
previous ratio of length : breadth ==> 6 : b

let increased proportion be "x"
new ratio is ==> 6x : bx ==> 21 : 14

Length 6x = 21
x = 21/6 => x = 7/2

Breadth
bx = 14
b * 7/2 = 14
b = 28/7 => 4

Previous breadth = 4

Ans : 4

14-----> ? = (14*6)/21=4. so old breadgh=4

let the prev length be x

so, prev length/prev breadth= new length/new breadth
or, 6/x = 21/14
or, x=14*6/21
or, x=4 (ans)

Simple
the proportions are same and breadth also increased by the same proportion as length
Let us take the old breadth as x
now we can express the prob as
6/21 = X/14
now x=4

length(l) is directly proportional to breadth(b).
so, l=kb
or l1/b1=l2/b2 .........(i)
where,
l1=previous length, b1=previous breadth
l2=previous length, b2=previous breadth
here l1=6, b1=x(let),l2=21 and b2=14
from (i),
6/x=21/14 => x=4
so previous breadth is 4.

initiaaly len=6
now len=21
so len increased by 15
which implies breadth decrease by 15
now breadth=14
so breadth=14+15
answer is 29
breadth=29

then cross multiply u get b=4

breadth B=?=14

21/14 = 3/2,
3/2 = 6/?

cut 6 by 3 half=2

now multiply with 2, ie 2*2=4 ans
