A and B are traveling toward each other on neighboring tracks and the distance between them is 180 miles and there are no stations between them. A bird is flying back and forth between them at a speed of 55 miles per hour. The bird will keep flying until the trains cross each other. What is the distance traveled by the bird before the crossing happens?

A's speed = 40 miles/hr
B's Speed = 50 miles/hr
Time taken for the trains to cross each other => t = 180/(40+50)
t = 2 hrs

Bird's speed = 55 miles/hr
In 1 hr --> bird ll cover 55 miles
In 2 hrs --> x miles
x = 2*55
x = 110 miles

So distance traveled by the Bird = 110 miles

Ans : 110 miles
