3/4 work is done by A in 24 days

Number of days required by A to do the entire work = 24*4/3 = 32days
Number of days required by A to do 1/4 work = 32*1/4 = 8 days

Let B take x days to finish 1/4 work alone
A and B together take 4 days

8*x/(8+x) = 4
8x = 4x + 32
x = 8

To finish the entire work B takes = 8*4 = 32days

A done 3/4th work in 24 days means A can do complete work in 24*4/3 = 32days.that means remaining 1/4th work in 8 days.
let B take X days to finish 1/4th part alone then
(1/8)+(1/x)=(1/4)
x=8
the B can finish total work in 8*4=32 days
