Answer is 4.
let A and B are common in all committee
In 1 and 2 committee ,let say C is common
In 2 and 3 committee,D is common
In 1 and 3 committee, E is common.

so, 1 committe has ABCE
2 commitee has ABCD..so on.
so the answer is minimum 4.

A,B,C be commitees. 3 are common in A and B, out of which 2 are common in all A,B and C, and the one left is member of commitee A and not C. 3 are common in A and C, out of 2 are common in all, and left over one is member of 'A' and not 'C'. so, total members in 'A' are 2+1+1=4..
similarly in other commitees B and C..

actually the que was 2 persons are common for each committee...that is when comparing 1 and 2 2 persons are common ,comparing 2 and 3 2 persons are common,comparing 3 and 1 2 persons are common....totally when comparing 3 committees 3 persons are common in all the committees.so how many number of persons are there in the committee?
ans is:4
assume 1,2,3,4-first comm
1,2,3,5-sec comm
1,2,3,6-third comm....compare this ans with the que..

the ans shud be 3 ..as
let in 1st comm a b and c are there again in 2nd comm a b and c and also in 3rd comm a b and c are there..
now matching the conditions a and b are common to all the 3 comm and taking any pair 3 are common which matches the requirement,, so ans shud be 3

consider 3 committee c1 c2 & c3

all of them have fixed members & each pair of committee already has 2 persons in common so we only need 1 more member for any pair of committee to have 3 common members.
so ans:3
