taking from one end, we get 7 points after eliminating two end points. Now, calculating from other end we get 5 points after eliminating two end points and two common points so, 7+5=12

there are total 14 points including 2 end points
also 2 common points are there
so number of points=14-2-2=10 points

the point will be at distance of 1,3,6,10,15,21. and this will bw from both side so total no of point is 14.

since it is in format of 1 3 6 10 15 21 28 36 and in back 36 35 33 30 26 21 15 8 0 there are common numbers 36 21 15 . less 3*2+1=7 dots from total 17 v, we get 10.
