Cars originally had Sudhir=39, Arvind=21 & Gauri=12
If we solve it by equation according to three stages of lending
Let's assume they have originally S, A & G no. of cars
According to Ist condition status of Sudhir, Arvind & Gauri
S-A-G 2A 2G
According to 2nd condition 2(S-A-G) 2A-(S-A-G)-2G 4G
According to 3rd condition 4(S-A-G) 2(2A-(S-A-G)-2G) 4G-(2(S-A-G))
-(2A-(S-A-G)-2G
Finally are are left with 24 cars, So equating all the above eqn. with 24
We get S=39, A=21, G=12

Original Cars Intermidiate Final

Sudhir x = 42 x - y - z (x - y - z)+(x - y - z) = 24

Arvind y = 24 y + y = 2*y 2*y - 2*z - (x - y - z) = 24

Gauri z = 6 z + z = 2*z 2*z + 2*z = 4*z = 24
