Answer is D

Let the cost of chairs be 'x' and tables be 'y'.
10x=4y i.e., x=(2/5)y
and given that 15x+2y=4000
15((2/5)y)+2y=4000
8y=4000 i.e., y=500 and x=200
The total price of 12 chairs and 3 tables is: 12*(200)+3*500=2400+1500=3900

10 Chair = 4 Tab
So, 5 Chair = 2 Tab
or, 15 Chair = (4+2) = 6 Table
Now, 15 Chair + 2 Table = 4000/-
or, 6 Table + 2 Table = 8 Table = 4000/-
so, 1 Table = 4000 /8 = 500/- So, 500 X 4 Table = 2000 = 10 Chair , 1Chair = 2000/10 = 200
So, (12 X 200) + (3 X 500) = 3900 . Ans.

10x=4y ie x= 4y/10
15x+2y= 4000
15* 4y/10+2y=4000
6y+2y=4000
y=4000/8=500
x=4*500/10=200
So 12x+3y=3900
