Ans:-42 years
let man's age be m and sons ages will be x&y
given that m=2(x+y)=x+y=m/2
m+5=x+5+y+5+16
m=x+y+21
m=m/2+21
m=42

let sons age be A,B
given
M=2(A+B)----- 1
5 yrs hence
age of man is M+5 ---- 2
given tat
age of man after 5 yrs is A+5+B+5+16 ----- 3
equating eq 2 and eq 3
M+5=A+5+B+5+16
substituting eq 1 in above
we get A+B=21
but we know
M=2(A+B)=2(21)=42
so M=42
