If 1st Printer works directly proportional to the temperature with constant K1 and
2nd printer works inversely proportional to the temperature with constant K2, then
Pages printed at particular temperature= T1*K1 + K2/T2 ----(i)
15K1+ (K2/15) = 20 ----(ii) &
20K1+ (K2/20) = 25 ----(iii)
On solving (ii) & (iii), K1=8/7 ,K2=300/7
From (i), Total pages printed at 35°C = (35*8/7) + [300/(7*35)] =40 + (60/49)= 41.22

A cask of wine when fully filled holds 10 liters. 2 liters of wine is removed and filled with water. Then 4 liters in the solution is replaced with water. Then 6 and 8 liters respectively. At the end of the 4th operation , the ratio of wine to water is.

B. 4!/(5^4 - 4!)

1. 1st removal of 2 lit. of wine from 10 liters & when replaced with 2 lit. of water, result in to ratio of wine/ water=(10-2) /2 = 8/2

2. 2nd removal of 4 lit. of mixture from 10 liters & when replaced with 4 lit. of water, result in to removal of Qty. of wine=4*8/10=16/5 & water =4*2/10=4/5,
So Remaining wine=8 -(16/5)= 24/5 & Water=10- (24/5)= 26/5

3. 3rd removal of 6 lit. of mixture from 10 liters & when replaced with 6 lit. of water, result in to removal of Qty. of wine=6*(24/5)/10=72/25 & water=6*(26/5)/10=39/5
So Remaining wine=(24/5) - (72/25)=48/25 & water=10 -(48/25) =202/25

4. 4th removal of 8 lit. of mixture from 10 lit. & when replaced with 8 lit. of water, result in to
removal of Qty. of wine=8*(48/25)/10= 192/125
So remaining wine=(48/25) - (192/125)= 48/125 & water= 10- (48/125)= 1202/125

So ratio of Wine to Water =(48/125) / (1202/125) = 24/601
From the given option B. 4!/(5^4 - 4!)= 24/(625 -24) =24/601 is correct
