As per given statement, each game if i loose i will give u one chocolate.

I won 12 games..... For games won by me, no choclate is given.
You have 8 choclates.
So I lost 8 games.
Total games played = 12+8=20.

Here 2 persons are playing game p1,p2. If p1 won 12 times means p2 lost the game 12 times and to p2 ,p1 gave 8 chocolates . so, total is 12+8=20(lost)
The person p1 won 12 games so, total games played=won+lost
=12+20
=32

ans Is 16 ,
I won 12 games so I have 12 chocolets ,at last I had only 8 chocolets that mean after winning 12 games I lost 4 chocolets that is 4 games ,so total 12 won games+4 lost games =16 games ,
