A = 1 and B = 9. By that

413 + 984 = 1397 which is divisible by 11.

ans a=1 amd b=9 . according to question 4 digit no 13b7 is divisible by 11 then (sum 0f even place)-(sum 0f odd place)=0 or any no which is divisible by 11 then
(3+7)-(1+b)=9-b by put b=9 we get 0 that means no is divisible by 11 . therefore b=9
and no is 1397 and is sum of 4a3 and984 now sustract the 984 from no we get value of a (1397-984)=413
hence a=1

answer:: a= 1 b=9
Because there is no carry over and only digit will support final no. which is divisible by 11
final digit= 1397

trick for finding out a number is divisible by 11 is adding alternative numbers in it.
find out the difference of the numbers.
If the number is divisible by 11 then the orignal number is also divisible by 11
By this trick b=9
if b =9 then a=1 by solving

4a3+984=13b7
then b-a=8 and 13b7 is divisible by 11 so we have thing put any number from 0 to 9 which make 13b7 will divisible by 11
hence b=9 then it will divisible by 11
b-a=8;a must be 1 and a+b=10 ans

13b7 is divisible by 11 means difference between odd digit and even digit place should be divisible by 11.
It means (7+3)-(1+b) should be divisible by 11. You only find one condition i.e. b=9 then u got answer. a is 9-8=1

The value of a=1 and b= 9 because a will be 1 and b will be 9 to satisfy the equation.
