The age of ram and sam are in the ratio 5:6 and after 4 years their ratios are 7:8 then what is the present age of sam?

Solution

The present age of ram and sam is 5:6 i.e 5x for ram and 6x for sam.
5x/6x.
after 4 yrs the ratio is 7:8
5x+4 = 7
--------
6x+4 = 8
cross multiply.u will get x=2
sam present age is 12yrs i.e(6x =6*2=12)
