(#M40001648) TCS QUESTION puzzle 2010 Keep an EYE Keep an eye puzzle Keep an eye puzzle

A box of 150 packets consists of 1kg packets and 2kg packets. Total weight of box is 264kg. How many 2kg packets are there?
(a) 100 (b) 114 (c) 200 (d) 208

Solution
Ans b) 114
Let the no of 1 kg packets be n1 and no. of 2 kg packet be n2
Given that n1+n2=150
Since the total weight be 264 kg
we can form n1(1)+n2(2) = 264
sub n2 =150-n1 in the above equation , we get
n1 + 2(150-n1)=264
n1+300-2n1=264
n1 = 36
n2 = 114
