If abc = ab^3 = 180 where a, b and c are positive integers, what is the value of `c’?

Solution
abc = a(b^3) = 180
on solving abc = a(b^3) we get c = b^2
and for a(b^3) = 180 , there is only one possibility a = 180 and b = 1 so c = 1^2 = 1

(#M40001268) SELF QUESTION At the store Keep an EYE Keep an eye puzzle Keep an eye puzzle

I entered a store and spent one-half the money that was in my purse. When I came out I found that I had just as many paise as I had rupees and half as many rupees as I had paise when I went in.
How much money did I have,with me when I entered?

Solution
From the given problem, it becomes clear that you have an odd number rupee with an even no. paisa
Let total rupee you had at the time of entering is x+1 and paisa is y,here x and y are even no.
according to the given condition
You had spent half money so remaining money you had will be x/2 rupee and 50+(y/2)paisa
so 50+(y/2) = x+1
and x/2 = 1/2(y) on solving we have x = 98 and y = 98 so amount would be 99 rupee and 98 paisa. thats it
