Odds against event A occurring =Pr(A')/Pr(A)

Probability of occurring event = Pr(A)/[Pr(A)+Pr(A')]

In the question
Pr(A')/Pr(A)=5/7 (Since we are given odds against the event)

So probability of occurring the event = 7/(5+7) = 7/12
