By solve the equation:

6X+8Y = 3000

let the daily wage of boy = b
daily wage of men = m
then,
(6b + 8m) * 4 = 12000
6b + 8m = 3000 ------- 1

(8b + 6m) * 3 = 9000
8b + 6m = 3000 ------- 2

solve for b and m

b = 1500/7
m = 1500/7

ratio b:m = 1:1

suppose in a day a boy can work 1/x work and
a man can work 1/y
ratio of workdone=ratio of money
(6*4/x+8*4/y)/(8*3/x+6*3/y)=12000/9000
=>1/x=1/y
=>efficiency ratio=1:1
