Let us assume no.of patients is X
By using chain rule
lit days patients
1350 28 70
1710 30 X

If you constant the days, the relation between patients & litres of milk is direclty propotional so we can write 1350 & 1710

If you constant the litres of milk, the relation between days and patients is inversly propotional so we can write 28 & 30

X = (1710*30*70)/(1310*28)
X = 95 patients

By chain rule ,
More patients consume more milk and more patients require less days to consume milk.
So,x(No. of patients)=(70*1710*30)/(1350*28)=95

in 30 days patients consume 1350 litres...

in 1 day 1350/30 litres= 45 litres is consumed by 75 patients

70 patients-- consume 45 litres in a day..

1 patient consumes 45/70=9/14 litres in a day


So for the requirements now...1710 litres should be consumed in 28 days

so per day.. 1710/28= 61 litres should be consumed

say we have x number of patients.
each consumes 9/14 litres a day.
x * 9/14=61
x = 61*14/9 =94.88 which can be approximated to 95

so 95 patients will consume 1710 litres in 28 days
