No. of students know english only = 20-x
No. of students know hindi only = 80-x
No. of students know english and hindi both = x
Now, 20-x + 80-x + x = 100 - 10
Therefore, x = 10
So the number of students know both english and hindi are 10

It says that 20 students don't know Hindi and 10 students know neither Hindi nor English. So, these 10 students are also part of those 20 students who dont know Hindi. Now we have 20-10=10 students who don't know Hindi but know English. We know that 20 students know English. So the number of students who know both English and Hindi are 20-10=10.
