According to the given condition
1000x + 100y + 10z + p = 226(x+y+z+p)
126y + 216z + 225p = 774x
given x = 4 and p = 2
z = 2646-1264 / 216
Only for y = 9 z = 7
9-7 = 2

quotient =226 and remainder = 0
think about multiple of 226 which will be the number (xyzw)
226 * 22=4972 (satisfying the given conditions)
Hence hundred place number = 9 and tens place number =7
so, difference is 2.

Only for 4 digit no with 4 and 2 at above mentioned places ....means 226 should be multiples by no having 2 or 7 at unit place to get required no thus 226*22=4972 gives required no thus 9-7 =2

let num=4xy2 sum=6+x+y. we know that div= divisor*quo +rem. 4xy2 =(6+x+y)*226 +0. 4xy2=1356+226(x+y) for x+y=16 we get same value as 4972.hence diff=2.

Let hundred place and ten place are x and y respectively.
so num will be=4xy2
sum=4+x+y+2=6+x+y,
now a/c to question,
226*(6+x+y)+0=4xy2,
so (6+x+y)=4xy2/226
after solving it by hit and trial method we get number=4972.
hence diff b/w hundred and tens place=2.

the four digit no is a multiple of 226 as per the given data. The multiple of 226 satisfying the given conditions is 4972. So the difference of 100's place digit and 10's place digit is 9-7 =2
