successive discount a, b and c %=>
a + b + c - [(a*b)/ 100 + (b*c)/100 + (c*a)/100 - (a*b *c ) /10000)
so find two discount as 42.4 % and 45.85 %
difference 45.85 - 42.4 = >
3.45 % of 40000 = 1380
ans is 2nd

In scheme I price after discount becomes- 22040

In scheme II price after discount becomes- 21660

From above we can conclude he can save rupees 1380
