Shubham and Yash can complete a task in 30 days working together but Yash bailed out after 11 days of working together. Shubham carries on task and completes it in next 28 days. If Shubham had been working alone how many number of days would be taken to complete the task?

(Shubham+Yash)’s 11 days task = 11/30
Remaining work = (1-11/30) = 19/30
19/30 work done by Shubham in 28 days.
Whole work will be done by Shubham in(28*30/19) = 44.21 days.

shubham ate remaining 19 chocolates in 28 days

both worked together for 11 days = 11*11=121 completed
remaining task =330-121=209

(A+B)'s 11 days work together = (11/30)
Remaining work = 1-11/30 = 19/30 done by A in 28 days
The total work done by A alone is 30*28/19 = 44.21.

Then, in 11 days they complete 36.66% work i.e (100/30)*11=36.66%

Given, subham and yash can complete work in 30 days.
Let's efficiency of subham=s
And yash=y
Then, s+y=1/30.
If they started working together in 11days they will complete the work= 11s+11y=11/30 of total work.
Remaining work =1-11/30=19/30.
Since left work 19/30 Dunham complete in 28 days.
So subham can complete the total work in , (28*30)/19=44.21days
So required answer is 44.21

let subham alone completes the work in x days and Yash alone completes the work in y days. Therefore in one day they complete 1/x+1/y part of the work. Therefore in 30 days both of them complete 30(1/x+1/y) which equals to 1. so 1/x+1/y=1/30.
