S.I. for 1 year = Rs. (504 - 483) = Rs. 21

S.I. for 3 years = Rs.(21 x 3) = Rs. 63

Amount in 4 years= 504
Therefore SI in 1 year = 504-483=21
SI =PRT/100
21=x×1×r/100
2100=xr......equation 1
Again SI = PRT/100
483-x= x×3×r/100
48300-100x/3= xr.....equation2
From 1&2,
48300-100x/3=2100
48300-100x=6300
48300-6300=100x
42000/100=x
x=420
