A vendor bought 910 chocolates for 7280 rupees. How many chocolates in 7280 rupees must he sell to gain 30%?

Solution

CP of 1 Chocolate = 3120/390 = Rs. 8
SP of 1 Chocolate for 30% profit = 8*1.3 = Rs. 10.4
So in 7280 Rupess how many chocolates should be sold = 7280/10.4 = 700

910 choco for 7280.
To get 30% gain, vendor should sell 910 choco for 9464 ( [130/100]*7280) , ie 1 choco for Rs.10.4 (9464/910)
He should sell 700 choco to get 7280 (7280/10.4).

Cost Price of each chocolate is = (7280/910) = 8
To gain 30% selling price of each chocolate will be = 8*130/100 = 10.4
So in Rs. 7280 he will sell 7280/10.4 = 700 chocolates

C.P of 910 chocolets =₹7280
C.P of 1 chocolets =₹8
If gain is 30% then S.P of 1 chocolets =₹10.40
No of Chocolets for ₹7280=7280÷10.4=700
Hence my option is 6👈.

Price of 1 chocolate is 7280 /910= 8 rupee
Now to get 30%profit selling price of chocolate is 8+(130*8)/100= 10.4
Hence
10.4*x= 910*8
x= 700

As given, price for 1 chocolate = 7280/910 = 8rs.
If x chocolates need to be sold for 7280 having 30% profit then,
8x+30% of 8x = 7280
8x+30/100 × 8x = 7280
Simplifying, x = 700

Price of 1 chocolate currently = 7280/910 = 8
Let x be the price of 1 chocolate in order to gain 30% on the whole.
(Gain/Orginal Price)*100=Gain%
((x-8)/8)*100=30
therfore, x= 10.4

Now, No. of chocolates to be sold for 10.4 rupees per chocolate = 7280/10.4=700 chocolates
