Solution

According to the given condition
0.6 x – 0.5 y = 60000
6 x – 5 y = 600000
On dividing by y
6 (x/y) – 5 = 600000/y
6 (x/y) – 5 = 600000/200000
6 (x/y) – 5 = 3
6 (x/y) = 8
x/y = 8/6 = 4/3
