The ratio of Satish’s age to Anil’s age is 5:1. The product of their ages is 180. What will be the ratio of their age after 5 years?

Solution

Let the ages of Anil and Satish be x and 5x respectively.
Then as given, 5x X x = 180
Or 5x^2 = 180, x^2 = 180/5 =36
x = 6 years
So, Anil age is 6 years and Satish age is 30 years.
After 5 years Anil age will be 11 years and Satish age will be 35 years.
Hence the ratio of their age = 35 : 11

Let, Satish's age=5x
and, Anil's age=x
According to question, 5x^2=180
or, x^2=180/5=36
Therefore, x=6
so, Satish's age=5*6=30
and, Anil's age=6
After 5 years their ratio will be = 30+5:6+5=35:11
So, My option is (5)
