The cost of a Book and a Notebook are 100 rupee and 40 rupee respectively. If a shopkeeper gives a discount of 10 % and 4 % in the two items respectively. Then total cost of 10 books and 4 notebooks is?

Solution

Total cost of books after taking discount of 10 % = 100 * 10 * 0.9 = 900
Total cost of notebooks after taking discount of 4 % = 40 * 4 * .96 = 153.6
