Solution

We have a 15-litre solution containing 40% of DI water in the HCL.
=> Quantity of DI water in the solution =(15* 40)/100= 6
Now 5 litre of HCL is added to the solution.
=> Total quantity of the new solution = 15 + 5= 20
Percentage of DI water in the new solution = 6*100/20
= 600/20 = 30%

Let, Percentage of water=x
volume of water= 15*40/100
=6
According to question
x={6/(15+5)}*100
=(6/20)*100
=30
So, My option is (5)

% of 6 in 20 l = 30

Given total solution is 15li.
Then add 5litre solution that is 20 li.
Then given 40% of given solution has dl water =6 li.
Now. The new solution is 20 litre and dl water is 6 li.
So that the 20 litre of 30%is 6 litre
So that the ans 30%
