Ankit is younger than Namit by 6 years. If their ages are in the respective ratio of 6 : 9, how old is Ankit?

Solution

Let Namit’s age is X
Then Ankit’s age will be (X – 6)
As given- (X – 6) / X = 6/9
9X – 54 = 6X
3X = 54
X = 18
