A man earns 40 % profit in his investment of 1000000 rupee, after then he invests all the money in a second business,
in which he losses 30 % of the investment. What % of the initial investment he losses.

Solution

After first business total amount received = 1000000 * 140 /100 = 1400000
After second business total amount received = 1400000 * 70 /100
= 980000
Loss = 20000
% loss = 20000 *100 / 1000000
= 2

Let investment be Rs 100.

Final amt will be 100*1.4*0.7 = 98

loss on Rs 100 = Rs 2.

So % loss = 2%

Let the core product of 2 investments be 100*100 = 10000.
After all the transactions, it will be 140*70 = 9800.
[As 40% profit (100*140/100=140) on first, and 30% loss (100*70/100=70) on second].
Thus, on the whole transaction he loses (100-98) = 2%.
Therefore the answer is (4) 2.

So the total MOney now man have

Now when he invest 1400000(All MOney)loss of 30%

30% Loss in 1400000 = 420000
