A clock moves only 59 sec. in 1 minute. After 12.5 hours at 7:00 PM (in a true clock), what would be the time in this late clock.

12.5 hours = 750 min.
so delay in the clock = 750 sec. = 12 min. 30 sec.

for 1 min, 1 sec reduced. so, for 60 min (1hr), 60sec (1min) will be reduced...
so, for 12 hr, 12min will be reduced, which means that 12.50hrs would be 12hrs 30min .
So, we got 6:47:30pm,(an accu ans)...

in 1 min only i sec is less ...so in 1 hour 60 sec will be less...
so in 12 hours ...no of sec will be
12*60=720+sec in remaining half hour...will be 30 sec
so total sec less are 750
converting in to minutes 750/60=12.5 min less in late clock so time in late clock is 6:47:30...

12 hrs == 12 min
0.5 hr == 30 sec
so total,
12.5 hrs == 12 min and 30 sec(loses)
so,(7:00:00 - 00:12:30)=6:47:30

12.5 hr=12*60+30 min=750 min
as 60 original sec=59 sec in clock
1 min-->1 sec loss
750 min-->750 sec loss=12.5 min=12 min 30 sec loss
so clock time=7hr-12 min 30 sec=6 hr 47 min 30 sec

1m it moves 59sec(thats one sec less than)
so in 1h it 1m less than from the original
at 12.5 hrs its 12m and 30 sec less.
so original time is 6:47:30 PM

The late duration is 12.5 min.

When we deduct this time from 7:00 PM answer will be 6:47:30 PM

In every minute the clock loses 1 second. this means that in every hour the same clock loses 1 minute.
therefore in 12.5 hours it will loose 12.5 minutes.
that means if the original time is 7 pm then time in the late clock will be 12.5 minute LESS than 7 pm. Therefore answer is 6:47:30 PM
