If 5 kg apples, 6 kg oranges and 2 keg potato cost rupee 186 and 13 kg apples, 6 kg orange and 4 kg potato cost rupee 288. what would be the cost fo 1kg potato, 2kg orange and 3 kg apple

let apples be x & oranges be y & potato be z
then according to question
5x+6y+2z=186
13x+6y+4z=288
now add both eqn we get
18x+12y+6z=474
divide whole eqn by 6
we get
3x+2y+z=79
which is the desired result.... :)

Solving given conditions, we get
cost of apple = Rs 12 per kg
cost of orange .. Rs 20 per kg.
cost of potato .. Rs 3 per kg
cost of 1kg potato, 2kg orange and 3 kg apple = 3+40+36=Rs 79..option 1.

If 5 kg apples(A), 6 kg oranges(O) and 2 keg potato(P) cost rupee 186 and 13 kg apples, 6 kg orange and 4 kg potato cost rupee 288.

5A+6O+2P=186 ........ (1)
13A+6O+4P=288........(2)

Subtracting (1) from (2)
8A+2P=102
4A+1P=51.........(3)
Multiplying (1) by 2,
10A+12O+4P=372.....(4)
Subtracting (2) from (4)
2O-A=28..........(5)
Adding (3) and (5)
3A+2O+1P=79

13app+6ore+4pot=288---------(2);
take the sum of both equation and devide it by 6;
3app+2ore+1pot=179;
hence the option (1) is correct.
