The % obtained by a student is 74. If we take % on the basis of 4 subjects (leaving the marks of fifth subject) then % is 76. How many marks, he got in the fifth subject.

so marks scored by him in 4 subject = .76*4x
marks scored by him in 5 subject .74*5x

if we take 100 marks per subject.
first case out of 500,he got 74%
which is equal to=370.
now in case 4 subject total=400
76% equal to=304
so marks of 5th subject=370-340=66
